Today’s women face many disadvantages in healthcare—from a lack of funding and research into female diseases to drugs and devices being tested and designed for the male anatomy.
The experience of care provided in this unequal healthcare system is leaving women feeling sidelined and inadequately supported.
Kearney raised a call to action, launching the Redesigning healthcare with women in mind open letter at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in partnership with the Forum’s Global Alliance for Women’s Health and more than 50 organizations in the women’s health space.
In May of 2024, we launched [w]Health, a global platform created by Kearney and powered by community that aims to move the dial on women’s health. This community is comprised of more than 350 organizations across 32 countries.
We took the messages from the open letter and the community to major forums, including the G20, UN General Assembly, G7 Ministries, Commission of the Status of Women, and local events in New York, London, Berlin, and Sydney to encourage advocacy and policy change. And we’ve published key insights, including a report and podcast on cardiovascular health inequities for women in Asia Pacific.
Our community is for organizations that are committed to redesigning healthcare with women in mind. By joining the community, your organization will be accessing a variety of opportunities to accelerate change.
- We are present at key global and regional forums, such as the World Economic Forum and United Nations among many others, to showcase the case for change, the work of our community, and the impact we are creating.
- Through our [w]Health Index, we help organizations evaluate their practices across the value chain and provide a directional view on maturity in closing the gender health gap. Organizations can uncover key areas for improvement along with action steps to achieve better health and business outcomes. We build knowledge and create a regular stream of resources and events optimized for large multinationals investing in transformational change in women’s health, and we orchestrate a portfolio of initiatives to address specific systemic challenges.
By joining the [w]Health community, your organization demonstrates its commitment to advancing the health of women and driving meaningful change. Only through collaboration and shared ambition can we create a healthier future for women and girls everywhere.
