Ben Smith is a Partner based in the firm’s San Francisco office. Ben works with technology companies and large corporations across industries and regions on incorporating technology on issues ranging including internal innovation, partnering, restructuring, and acquisitions.

Ben has been involved with Kearney for more than 25 years, first as a partner, then as a client, and then, most recently, back as a partner. He rejoined the firm in 2016 to help support the firm’s growth in digital, media, and high-tech.

Prior to rejoining the firm, Ben created three start-ups in the local media, social, and online retail spaces. He also served as senior advisor for strategy and planning to the US Secretary of Transportation on the response to 9/11, and to help stand up the Transportation Security Administration.
