Kearney is proud to support HOPE worldwide Indonesia, the Indonesian branch of the global NGO. We recently turned our in-house expertise to a pro-bono program evaluation of two pillars of its Education program: the Computer Training Center (CTC) and the Saturday Academy.

As a rapidly developing economy with a young population, the CTC offers a path to young Indonesian men and women to achieve professional competence in IT technology and find financial independence in jobs that match their aspirations. The program’s mission is to build a culture which motivates its students to dream big but it was facing a challenge: only 30 percent of CTC graduates were taking up computer-related jobs.

Our team’s challenge was to find out why this was occurring and what needed to change.

The students’ will to achieve was firmly in place—but they found that curriculum updates were needed and students would benefit from more specialized courses. Our team also looked at the students’ satisfaction and motivation and recommended more dynamic case-based, and problem-based learning methods.

The significance of a rigorous quality management and performance assessment can’t be overstated, and Kearney is proud that these two programs will be more secure going forward in their provision of high quality, impactful curricula.
