Describe your journey to Kearney!

I joined Kearney in 2022 after completing my MBA degree knowing I wanted to work in consulting. Prior to that, I had worked in logistics and supply chain my entire career and so I knew I needed an environment that would give me the grace to learn and grow. I knew Kearney would be a great place to call my “work home” from the interactions I had with folks from the Kearney Toronto office during the recruiting process. Although each conversation was different, the heart was the same—it was warm, welcoming, and kind and I knew I did not want to work anywhere else.

Over one year later and I’m glad I made that decision.

What is your favourite thing about the Toronto office?

Folks at the Toronto office are kind, collaborative, and always willing to help. I started this career with nothing but my MBA degree and the Internet and they have given me opportunities and the grace to learn and grow. And not just professionally. I recently moved to Toronto and I have learned so much about living and working in Toronto from the amazing folks in the Toronto office.

Tell us your favourite office event or office-related memory!

My favourite office-related memory was getting to celebrate Black History Month with the Toronto office. We played trivia, shared stories (personal and historical), and enjoyed great food. I love that I am able to share parts of myself and my culture and learn about others in the office, and have people from races, backgrounds, and cultures different from mine, genuinely interested and engaged.

How has working with Kearney been able to fulfill one of your passions?

I have the great privilege to work as the Toronto lead for Black@Kearney and as the recruiting lead for my alma mater. In both capacities I am able to fulfill my passion of supporting my black colleagues as we navigate consulting together and also supporting the push to grow the Toronto office with a focus on talent and diversity.
