What have you been up to?

I’ve been working and traveling! I travel a lot for work, so I try to tack on some personal travels whenever I can. I went to three new countries this year—Korea, Japan, and Nicaragua.

What is the first thing you do when you wake up?

Sadly, look at emails. But a very close second is play with my dog.

If we came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare?

I would prepare a takeout order from my favorite Thai place around the corner. You don’t want me cooking for you!

What is your go-to coffee or tea order?

Large cold brew with almond milk! No matter how cold it is outside, I’m a big iced coffee fan.

What unknown fact do you like to share during an ice breaker?

When I was 17, I did an ABC family movie. I played a teenage drug dealer and was arrested in the first 10 minutes of the film.

What re-energizes you?

The gym

How or where do you find inspiration?

The ocean

More diversity in leadership roles

What is the best advice you’ve received?

Always consider an alternative point of view.

What part of your job would people find most surprising or interesting?

I’m lucky to work in a role that puts me at the intersection of creativity and strategy, so I get to strategically think about how to bring really creative programs and activations to life.

What part of your job did you find surprising when you first started?

How quickly priorities can change.

Would you ever consider changing your profession? If so, what would you want to do?

I always wanted to be a university professor in some small town. Not sure that I would ever switch, but it seems like a nice life.

What aspect of your work are you most passionate about?

I get to tell stories through what I do. I get to create a journey and shape sentiment.

What is your fondest memory at Kearney?

Producing the All Hands Meeting in Scottsdale! I’ve never worked with a better group of people. We became a family.

What makes you most proud about being part of the Kearney community?

The people I worked with.

Is there a person at Kearney who had a profound impact on your professional or personal life?

So many people impacted me in so many special ways. But Kerry Penny really taught me a lot about how to be a compassionate colleague, friend, and leader.

If you didn’t need to work, how would you spend your time?

Traveling and writing.

If you could solve one problem in the world, what would it be? Why?

I’d bridge the gap between general relativity and quantum mechanics. I guess that’s really more of a universe problem and not so much a world problem…
