What is the first thing you do when you wake up?

I love my morning routine. I get up early and drink a glass of water. Post which I write a gratitude journal—things that I am grateful for in life.

What is the best advice you’ve received?

If I can’t trust you, then it doesn’t matter how smart you are. Incidentally, this came from my Kearney manager, Akshat Seth, who is now a dear friend.

What part of your job would people find most surprising/interesting?

That we are not a deals or discounts platform. We’re a lot more than that, behind the hood.

What part of your job did you find surprising when you first started?

People don’t always do the right thing when no one is looking.

Would you ever consider changing your profession? If so, what would you want to do?

Never. I wouldn’t trade anything for the experience I am going through.

What aspect of your work are you most passionate about?

Organization building. The fact that I am daily building an institution that’s larger than me.

What is your fondest memory at Kearney?

The 13 months in Dubai on the Limitless project, along with now Kearney partners Debashish Mukherjee, Sarovar Agarwal and fellow alumni and COO of CK Birla Group Akshat Seth was an absolutely stunning time. I learned so much.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out at Kearney? Why?

It’s not important what you know. It’s what you do that will come to define you.

What makes you most proud about being part of the Kearney community? Why?

It was my first post-MBA job and it trained me for life. Those three years lifted me up in ways I didn’t anticipate—working on meaningful projects, with people far smarter than me, and with clients really big on scale and impact.

What impact did Kearney have on your career?

For an entrepreneur, it taught me something most entrepreneurs struggle with: how to structure!

Is there a person at Kearney who had a profound impact on your professional or personal life?

Akshat and Anshuman, any day. I have learnt so, so, so much from them, and continue to. We are family friends now and it’s such a pleasure to be part of their lives. While at Kearney, Sarovar and Deba played important roles. I looked up to them as mentors and individuals and continue to do so.

How did you make your first dollar?

By buying Asian-edition books from India and selling them as second-hand books in the USA.

If you did not need to work, how would you spend your time?

Attending classes of the most renowned professors across the best universities in the world

If you were given a one-year sabbatical, what would you do with it and why?

I wouldn’t take it!
