Assessment process

To apply to the Factory of the Year competition, manufacturers are encouraged to download the questionnaire within the “Apply” tab of this website. After completing the questionnaire, manufacturers should submit their complete questionnaires to the Factory of the Year team within the defined submission window.

Following this, complete submissions will be reviewed, and shortlisted finalists selected – site visits to each of the shortlisted finalists by a team of Factory of the Year auditors will then take place.

After combining the quantitative scores from the questionnaire with qualitative observations from the site visits, an independent jury will select the winners.

It is important to note that absolute confidentiality will be guaranteed throughout the application process. The information provided in the questionnaires will only be accessible within the confines of the Factory of the Year team.
