We see several trends in the future of recruiting: technology, inclusion & diversity, and the influence of Gen Z. Technology:While there are many recruiting tools available, how companies will choose to use them throughout their recruiting process still varies greatly. There is such a wide spread of how companies are using technology today that the possibilities are endless – from companies using artificial intelligence (AI) to review resumes, to companies finding bias in their in-house resume screening tools, to other companies who use Excel for all of their candidate tracking. Everyone is looking for the silver bullet, while keeping unconscious bias and discrimination out of the equation. Inclusion and Diversity: Many companies understand the importance of a diverse work force and yet, few are where they want to be. Companies are realizing that they need to take a wholistic approach to diversity – including hiring but the focus can’t just be on intake, but also uptake and inclusion.
